1955–1956

Foundation and Early Organization

The institutional foundations of the Society were established in the mid-1950s, followed by the formal development of anatomical professional organization in the region.

1957–2003

Congress Tradition Across Yugoslavia

A long series of congresses was organized in major academic centers including Zagreb, Ljubljana, Sarajevo, Skopje, Belgrade, Rijeka, Novi Sad, Niš, Priština, Tuzla, Opatija, Herceg Novi, and others.

2006

Beginning of SADS Congresses

The first congress under the Serbian Anatomical Society was held in Novi Sad, continuing the longstanding scientific and professional congress tradition.

2008–2026

Modern Congress Continuity

Congresses continued in Vrnjačka Banja, Niš, Belgrade, Novi Sad, Zlatibor, and again Novi Sad, preserving continuity and strengthening the Society’s academic presence.

The archive preserves the continuity of anatomical congresses from the Yugoslavia period through the contemporary congresses of the Serbian Anatomical Society.
